This summer three creative high school students – Shivam Mehta, Gabrielle Latreille and Yezen Al-Katta – with the support of Networking4Youth, Jewish Family Services, and Britannia Woods Community House will be delivering electronics, robotics and computer science activities to day camps across Ottawa.

On July 11, Team T.R.E.C (Teaching Robotics, Electronics & Computers) was graciously hosted by the Britannia Woods summer camp. TREC will also be hosted by the Somali Centre for Family Services summer camp and Catholic Centre for Immigrants.

We look forward to meeting more youth in their communities, listening to their spirited video game stories, iPad and smartphone questions, and delivering games and worksheets to support deeper learning in computer science, engineering and robotics. “I get it! Computers speak their own language”.
